    Notes:

    The letter from Sarah Burns to her brother Cornelius Green written from Missouri in 1877, stated that "sister Rachel is dead" but we have not determined if the Owens family had been in Missouri or remained in Cleveland County, North Carolina.

    Rachael married James Owens before 1820. James (son of Thomas Owens and Elizabeth McCrary) was born about 1799; died in 1847. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
