    Amanda Levada Gibbs died of cerebral hemorhage and hypertension. Amanda suffered the hemorhage when she found her mother, Sarah Susan Wiggins Bridges, dead and died the following day.

    James and Martha appear in the 1870 Rutherford County census in Duncan's Creek Township.

    James and Martha Bridges are both buried at Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Cleveland Co. NC.

    Three of the Bridges brothers Crayton, Newton, and Kimsey all moved to Georgia and started a lumber business. They also all married Felkers.

    William is mentioned in a letter from Mary Gold Dycus to her husband Ancil Dycus stating that she had heard that William had been wounded again, slightly on top of the head and had written that he was "mighty out of heart". This letter was written in November of 1864.
